LOCKDOWN WAKATIPU

The images in this book are scenes which moved me. They are scenes which drove me to pick up my camera and capture pictures, empty of the busyness.

They are images of what took place, in the district I love, the district I call home.

This is Wakatipu. This is Lockdown.

As the virus started escalating in faraway countries, life here in New Zealand, carried on as usual. That was, until 28 February 2020, when New Zealand’s first Covid-19 case emerged.

A national state of emergency was declared on 25 March 2020.

Lockdown Wakatipu, a photographic record by Toni Caldwell, chronicles the state of Queenstown and Arrowtown.

A beautiful book of black and white images taken within the Wakatipu during Level 4 Lockdown.

This book has been printed in Queenstown, has a soft touched laminated cover, perfect bound, 56 pages (excluding cover). Size: 297mm x 210mm
